Introduction to manual tube saws

When a Manual Cold Saw Is the Right Tool

Manual saws keep the operator in control of every cut. That suits short runs, prototypes, maintenance and repair work, and jobs with frequent angle changes. There is nothing to program, setup takes seconds, and the cut quality is the same clean, square cold-saw finish as on an automatic machine.

Getting Clean Cuts on Tube

  • Self-centering vise with two-sided clamping holds the tube solidly for a smooth, burr-minimized cut.
  • Two-part clamps (option) support thin-wall tubing so it isn't crushed.
  • Coolant system with a large tank keeps the blade and part cool for a smoother finish and longer blade life.
  • Length stopper with adjustable gauge for repeat lengths, plus an optional roller table for long stock.

Miter Cuts

The saw head swivels in either direction for miter cuts, and every model cuts at 45° and 90°. Frames, railings and furniture joints can be cut accurately without a second machine.

When volumes grow, see semi-automatic saws or automatic tube saws.
