SOCO Wire Cutting Machines
Loop-wire cutting for hard, brittle and non-metallic materials such as graphite, quartz, ceramics and insulation board, as well as metals.

SWC-4040-V-2D
The SOCO SWC Series cuts with a high-speed rotating loop wire. The wire frame stays stationary while the X and Y axes move together, producing straight cuts, arcs and bevels with minimal force on the part. That makes it ideal for brittle materials that chip or crack under a saw.
- 550 mm × 550 mm X/Y working area
- Aluminum silicate board up to 1,000 mm high
- Wet or dry cutting
- Servo-driven precision ball screws on X and Y
- Feed speed 0.01–50 mm/s
- 0.65 mm or 0.9 mm diamond loop wire
- PLC with industrial touch screen and SOCO CAD/CAM software
Typical Materials & Applications
- Graphite electrodes and components
- Quartz and technical ceramics
- Aluminum silicate and refractory insulation boards
- High-hardness metals where saw cutting causes damage
Why Loop-Wire Cutting?
- Low cutting force: less chipping and cracking on brittle materials.
- Narrow kerf: less material lost on expensive stock.
- Shapes as well as straight cuts: coordinated X/Y motion produces arcs and bevels.
