How the payment is calculated

The estimate uses the standard lease formula: the amount financed (price minus down payment) less the present value of the residual, spread over the term at the monthly rate. Paying in advance means the first payment is due at signing, which lowers each payment slightly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a $1 buyout lease and an FMV lease?

With a $1 buyout lease you own the machine for $1 at the end of the term, so payments are higher. A fair market value (FMV) lease leaves a residual at the end. Payments are lower, and at the end you can buy the machine at its fair market value, return it or upgrade.

Can I lease a CNC tube bender or tube laser?

Yes. Most CNC tube benders, tube lasers and saws can be leased or financed. Tell us which machine you are considering and we can introduce you to equipment finance partners.

Can I deduct equipment lease payments?

Depending on the lease structure, payments may be deductible as an operating expense, or the machine may qualify for depreciation such as Section 179. Ask your tax advisor how it applies to your business.

What rate should I use?

Equipment finance rates depend on your credit, time in business, the term and the market. Use a rate from your lender or bank if you have one, and try a higher and lower rate to see the range.
