Why Preventive Maintenance Pays Off
An unplanned breakdown on a bender or laser stops every downstream operation, and emergency parts and overtime cost far more than a scheduled visit. Even before a breakdown, worn components cause accuracy drift, inconsistent springback, tooling marks and scrap. Preventive maintenance catches those problems early, while they are still cheap to fix.
What a Preventive Maintenance Visit Can Include
- Hydraulic system: fluid condition, filters, leaks, pressures and accumulators
- Servo axes and drives: backlash, alignment and encoder checks
- Tooling setup: bend die, clamp, pressure die, wiper and mandrel alignment and wear
- Lubrication systems and mandrel lube
- Electrical cabinet, cooling, cabling and safety circuits
- Bend accuracy verification with test parts
- A written report with findings and recommended spare parts
Equipment We Maintain
Our technicians service the SOCO, VLB and HSG equipment we sell, as well as new and vintage CNC tube benders from other builders. When a machine needs more than maintenance, we offer rebuilding and control upgrades, plus fast access to spare parts.
Setting the Right Schedule
How often you need service depends on shifts, materials and part mix. Single-shift shops often do well with semiannual or annual visits, while multi-shift and high-tonnage operations benefit from quarterly service. We will recommend a schedule for your equipment. Ask about annual service agreements to lock in priority scheduling and predictable costs.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should a CNC tube bender be serviced?
Most shops benefit from service every 6–12 months on a single shift, and more often for multi-shift operation. We will recommend a schedule based on your usage.
Do you service machines you didn’t sell?
Yes. Our technicians work on new and vintage CNC benders from a wide range of builders.
What happens if the visit finds a problem?
You get a written report with findings and recommended parts. Many issues can be corrected during the visit, and larger repairs are quoted separately.
